About The Event

If we want to understand how effective a new digital experience is, determining whether or not it meets the needs of our users, what do we do? We plan, run and review the results of a usability test. By following a tried and tested process, we can repeatably and reliably evolve our design and increase the quality of the proposed experience.

But how do we go about testing robustly for non-digital experiences? What are repeatable and scaleable ways to finding unnecessary friction in a new process, service, journey or physical interaction, before it becomes reality for our customers? Most importantly, how do we do this in a way that builds both confidence and momentum by reducing the real and perceived risk of the change that the solution represents?

Join us for this interactive seminar, facilitated by Brendan Jarvis, Managing Founder of The Space InBetween, New Zealand’s only specialist UX research practice and world-class UX lab. During the session we will explore the fundamentals of usability and the principles and methods of usability testing, before we attempt to co-create a framework that adapts these to the evaluation of non-digital experiences.
