While schools and companies around the world eagerly adopt new ideation frameworks and creative thinking toolkits, there are only a handful of people who can and are willing to bring those ideas to life. But with the daily evolution of AI and no-code tools, we live in an unprecedented era where the barriers to makership for individuals are rapidly disappearing.
In this session, Dice shares his take on the democratisation of prototyping, and how "building it yourself" can propel decision making in businesses. At IDEO he founded Prototyping School ( https://www.prototyping.school ) as an experiment to empower people of all backgrounds to create Proof of Concepts for their own ideas, by taking all available shortcuts and side doors. He will share the novel prototyping methods he has been developed for this program, and run a short hands on session to help you think about how YOU can bring your own idea to life, yourself.

Dice is an interaction designer that specializes in highly fast-paced prototyping of digital products and interactive hardware, combining UI/UX design, code and electronics to create tangible PoCs that propel projects towards launch. After leading teams to design and ship world-class digital/physical products for global clients at IDEO, he is in the process of setting up duhhh to go beyond traditional design consulting and accelerate launch through ultra rapid AI/no-code prototyping.
Dice holds a BE in Computer Science and an MA in Media Design from Keio University. He also completed the Global Innovation Design (GID) program with RCA and Pratt Institute. When he's not working he likes to surf or make weird things at home. He also secretly holds a nursery teacher license.
