Design Safari: Building a Braver Design Practice

Design Safaris are in-person experiences for small groups to come together and get an insight scoop into the design & innovation engine of an organisation.

This month, we'll get a sneak peek into the workings of Auckland Transport’s Human-Centred Design team and their journey of becoming a ‘braver’ design practice. But what is brave practice? And what has courage got to do with good design?

Come along to hear from the team about the conditions, experiments and connections that have helped them unlock resources and relationships, while building a mandate for change within the organisation and for the residents of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Specifically, the team will talk to:

• How they have developed their confidence to be braver in their design practice.
• How being braver in their practice has helped them to grow from “doing design” to influencing the organisation at a strategic level.
• How that bravery has shown up in their day-to-day work to deliver for Aucklanders.
