About The Event
Designers are always in at least two places at once.
We have to deliver outputs (like maps) and outcomes like an increased uptake in service usage.
We are in our craft and in everyone else's so that we can bring together the best of both.
We are in our own world of understanding and visitors into the lives of those we research.
We are designers and in other roles...maybe you also call yourself a change maker or a government employee. Maybe you don’t call yourself a designer at all.
We work from the past to the present and beyond to the future. When does our work stop?
Join us for this hands-on reflection session where you will sketch your path among competing demands and perspectives to bring more awareness and intentionality into your practice. Gain insight into how others navigate people and business constraints to design better outcomes for and with customers and communities.
You’ll take away:
- Tools and techniques to reflect on practice impasses, challenges and opportunities
- Increased awareness of your own practice journey
- Articulation of your true role (or roles)
Who should attend:
- Designers and customer advocates who are seeking an opportunity to work ON their practice, not just in it
This reflection session will be co-facilitated by Morgan Williams from Meld Studios (Australia) and Sarah Clearwater from CX Collective.
