About The Event
The World Health Organization defines equity as the absence of avoidable or remediable differences among groups of people. The concept acknowledges that not only are differences in health status unfair and unjust, but they are also the result of differential access to the resources necessary for people to lead healthy lives.
Keeping this in mind, how does equity show up in our work? And how do we know we are advocating and designing for more equitable outcomes through our products, services and experiences? Join us for this virtual conversation to connect, learn and play with your peers.
This session can be attended stand-alone but is designed as a preparatory conversation in context of our upcoming training seminar where Auckland DHB shares their experience, tangible examples and tools to design more equitably for Māori and Pasifika health outcomes.
