Design as a discipline has evolved rapidly since the industrial revolution. Designers are an integral part of business innovation and over time we have stretched past form and function. We not just design, we facilitate it and hold space for others to design and co-design. We advocate for people-led business innovation, where customers are no longer just the consumer but are at the centre of how we solve problems and drive innovation in business.
At the same time, we still struggle to convince stakeholders and business leaders that human-led innovation will drive positive change, promote brand loyalty and can ultimately lead to a profitable business. What are the barriers to leading change in our organisations? What can we do to positively shift how design is seen and valued internally?
